Story behind this temple is Kodakara Nair who brought devi from Nelliyampathi hills
in his umbrella and thus the temple formed here.
The famous Nemmara-Vallangi vela (festival) is on the 20th day of Meenam. Elephant
procession is help and mass fireworks is moment to watch. Thousands of people gathered
here for this occation.
Meenam 1st to 20th Kalamezhuthu is performed.
Main offering is Paayasam.
