The presiding deity in this temple is lord ayyappa. The temple was owned by the
king of Chirakkal. In this temple, the idol is in the standing form.
There will be a festival of three days related to new moon day in the month 'Thulam'.
Also there are seven day's 'pattu' (song) in the month 'Vrischikam'.
'Navagraha Japam' is very famous . Also the deity in this temple is very popular
for removing 'Sani dhosham'.
