The presiding deity of this temple is sree dharmasasathavu. This temple is known
as the ‘Sabarimala’ of women.
First Saturday of every Malayalam month is very important for this temple. In the
month of vrischika, is the main festive day. During this day ‘Kavadiyattam’ is very
famous. Makaravilakku is also important.
It is believed that, if we traverse through "punarjjani", then all the sins in our
birth will be removed.
