Festival:

Earlier, annual festival was celebrated for 28 days. Festival aarattu was conducted at Kandozhijaru river in Chalakkudy, Thrissur. Later, festival days are reduced to 10 days and aarattu is conducted at Ayyanchira (temple pond).

Description:

Lord Siva is presiding here in this temple. Deity is installed facing west and temple sreekovil (sanctum sanctorum) is constructed round in shape as usually seen in all temples.
