Festival is for 8 days ends on the Thiruvonam day in the month of "Chingam"

 

Importance / Main offerings:

"Narathala" - putting scapped coconut on the boiled rice. It is believed that by offering this children can get rid of diseases

There are lot of myths about the temple and people are visiting the temple for every purpose especially for getting married to infertility and also to get good job

 

Description:

Lord Narasimha is the 4th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The presiding deity of this temple is this ugra moorthy Lord Narasimha

The most important factor about this temple is that, though there are other Narasimha temples in Kerala, in most of them, the idol in the Sreekovil will be of Chaturbaahu and only the sankalpa of Narasimha, where as in Aymanam temple the idol is that of a narasimha itself

Route: Aymanam is hardly 5 Km from Kottayam town. Buses to Olessa / Parippu and Pulikkuttissery / Puthenthodu are going through Aymanam. These two routes deviates at Aymanam junction and the temple is exactly at the junction itself
