Pongala is celebrated in grand manner.

Bharani festival is also special which is for 14 days and falls on the month of Kumbam (February/March) . Garudan Thookkam is conducted here. Huge crowd can seen during this occassion

The festival starts with flag hoisting and a community feast follows . 13 days long "Paraeduppu" is there where devotees believed devi comes to enquire about her devotees's well-being. Devotees welcome devi with Nirapara (a full measure of paddy). Last day of Paraeduppu, devi is comes back to her abode with procession of 11 caprisioned elephant accompanied by melam (drums).
