The festival called "Uthralikavu Pooram" is one of the popular festivals in kerala.
Large number of devotees gathered here for the festival. The main attraction in the festival is Panchavadyam, Pandi melam and seeing 21 elephants decorated is worth seeing. Firework during this festival is popular. The pooram is held during the month of February.

Sri Rudhira Mahakali Kavu which is also known as "Uthralikkavu" is located on the hills at Parithipara, which is 2 km from Wadakanchery, on the Shoranur route. The presiding deity is Goddess Maha kali.
