Navaratri and Mandalam are special days of celebrations here.
During that time every day Nira Villakku (lighting of lamps in temple
surroundings) is performed by devotees.
The mandalam starts on
the first day of karthika (tamil) month and continues for 41 days and
concludes with the festival called villakku odukkam also called as pattam
padhiyam on the following monday or thursday.
The pattam padhiyam is also celebrated in the village as a practice existing
for so many years. Devotees contribute to this for performing pooja and
Anna Dhanam to the devotees on that day.
