It is believed that this temple is founded
by Sree Sankaracharya swami. Deity
is Swayambhoo. Raktheswaram

Melekkavu, Keezhekkavu charyar in a rock are sub deities here.
Large number of devotees come here for whorhipping devi to get
rid of diseases and evil spirits.
