Festival:

The main festival is on Meenam month of malayalam calendar. It last for 10 days.

Thiripidutham is main ritual during the time. Devotees hold lighted wicks
. It is nice moment to watch, at that time entire temple will be filled with divine light. The atmostpher created at this time is excellent.

Last day of the festival is special here, where devotees comes to see "Deeparadhana" (offering prayer with lights) in chuttambalam (outer side of temple). After deeparadhana devotees go to temple pond for taking a holy dip and come back to temple with the same wet clothes. Praying with wet cloths is auspicious. Poojari of the temple gives lighted oil lamp to devotees and devotees do pradhakshina in the temple. By doing so it is believed that devotees can get rid of life's miseries with devi's blesings

Description:

Presiding deity is bhagavathy (devi). The deity also known as Aruvakkad Amma. Speciality of this deity is that devi has three different forms namely Saraswathy, Parvathy, Lakshmi. It is believed that after killing demon Daruka, devi washed her sword in the pond of this temple.

Siva, Muruga, Gosala Krishna, Kodum Kali and Saraswathy are the sub-deities.
