Description:

One of the durga temple in 108 durga temple list. Temple is constructed as facing east and presiding deity is Karthyayani. You can see sub deities Lord Siva and Lord Gahesh here. Daily 5 poojas done.

It is one of the supreme temple which has been installed by Villumangalam Swamikal. Villumangalm swamikal felt the presence of devi under Chootha tree by traversing the route and thus installed this deity.

This is one of the temple which has been destroyed by Dutch. It is
Kannankulangara Kaimal who has re-installed this deity here. His spiritual presence also here in the palm tree which is called "Arrukkolla Ammavan". Story behind is that, devi asked tender coconut and he asked devi to stay there until he brings. He has hanged himself for making devi to stay the place itself forever.
