Festival:

7 days annual festival falls on 8th day of Meenam of malayalam month. During these days various cultural festivals are organised. 7th day of festival day which is main festival whicn starts with Kalabhattam (special pooja and applying sandal on siva idol) and special poojas are done. "Para Nirakkal" (signifies the prosperity) is offered by devotess in the evening which is worth watching. During that time entire temple premises is decorated with flowers and Para (Vessel used for measurement in olden ages) full of fruits, vegitables and flowers. Festival lasts till midnight and ends with fireworks

Sivaraathri, Vidhyarabham, Pradhosham days are imprtant here

Description:

Presiding main deity of this temple is is Lord Siva in kiratha moorthy form. You can see deity of Sreekrishnan in this temple with equal importance. Ganapathy, Ayyappa, Bhagavathy, Nagas are the main subdeities. Ayyappa and Bhagavathy shrine was installed near by sreekovil earlier and recently built seperate seating place inside temple premises which is outside sreekovil.
