Description:
The presiding deity in this temple is Kuthirakkaliyamma.
This temple is situated at Karivellur.Its believed that when the Kottila
Veettil Mootha Chettiyar
went to attend
the Pattulstavam of Shri Kandothidam Bhagavathi Temple at Payyanur, the
Kandothidam Someswariyamma came with him in his traditional umbrella
to Karivellur and stayed there at the madappalli temple.
