Main festival is celebrated for 7 days in grand manner, which ends on the 'Thiruvonam' in the malayalam month Meenam. Ekadeshi in the month of Visakham with special pooja and dwadasanamam kaalkazhichuttu are conducted here. Vishu Kani on the first day of the month of medom is also important. Narasimha Jayanthi and Thiruvonam also celebrated here.

Description:

The presiding deity of this temple is Lord Sree Narasimha Moorthy. This temple is believed to be one of the ancient narasimha temple. It is situated in a locality known as Kunjallur in Purameri, Calicut district Kerala. The temple is believed to be thousand years old.

Kunjhallur is privileged to be seat of one of the rare temples of Kerala where Narasimhamoorthy is enshrined as the main God. Those who worshiped lord kunjhallurappa will get undoubtedly be duly rewarded.

The sub deities of this temple are Ganesha, Shastha, Durga, Bhadrakaali, Vettakkaran (Lord Shiva) and Venna Krishnan (Krishna as a small child who likes butter and sweets very much.)

The supreme right for tantric rituals of the temple belongs to Thekkiniyedathu Tharananellur illam.
