The festival is in the month 'kumbham', on the day 'Uthram'. The season of 'Mandalam' and 'Makaravilakku' is also important. 'Ayyappan Vilakku' in the month of 'Vrischikam' is also a grand festival here.

 

Importance / Main offerings:

'Elluthiri' and 'Kadum Payasam' are the main offerings in this temple.

 

Description:

The presiding deity in this temple is Lord Ayyappa. The sub deities are Lord Vinayaka, Lord Manikandan, Veerabhadran, Yakshi, Nagas, and Bhagavathy. Its believed that the idol is installed by Lord Parasurama in the form of 'Bala Sastha'(childhood form). Also its heard that Lord Ayyappa was the dearest God of 'Neelakandachar'.

This temple was rebuilt by 'Konnur PadaNair' with the help of the King.
