The main festival is in the month 'Medam'. Its a six-day festival.

Every month, on the day 'Uthram' , there will be 'Seeveli' in the temple.

Description:

The presiding deity in this temple is Lord Ayyappa. The power of Dharmasastha was found from a stone, which was situated in the inner part of the 'Vayaskara Illam' named 'Nadu muttam'. In the temple Lord Ayyappa faces to west side. There are two sub deities, Lord Siva and Lord Dhanwanthari. The temple is owmed by 'Vayaskara' family.'Vayaskara Moose' family is famous in 'Ashtavydhyam'. Its believed that they can treat for any diseases.

Once one problem arised in the family. No children born in the family . Then with the help of 'Thekkumkoor' king, that problem was solved by marrying a person from 'Varikkuvassery' family. That brahmin was an intense devotee of 'Chamravattom' Sastha. He felt sad when he came to 'Vayaskara'. Then Lord Ayyappa told that Sastha too will accompany him to 'Vayaskara' and thus situated in the 'Nadu muttam.
