Description:

The presiding deity in this temple is not Lord Ayyappa. Its a Vishnu-Siva temple. But its believed that there was a Sastha temple in this place long ago. That temple may be destroyed by any foreign attacks or Lord Ayyappa may be absented because of the introduction of 'Arya' culture.

From the 'Deva Prasnam' carried out in the temple, its understood that there is a presence of Lord Ayyappa in this temple.

The main deities in this temple are Lord Vishnu and Lord Siva. The sub dieties are Lord Ayyappa, Lord Vinayaka, Lord Muruga, Nagaraja and Nagayakshi. This temple was under the ownership of 'Chirackal' kovilakam.
