The festival is celebrated on 24th 'Dhanu' every year. Its a grand celebration.

Importance / Main offerings:

This temple is an ancient one. Many people used to go Sabarimala from this temple after 'Kettunira' , long ago.

Description:

The presiding deity in this temple is Lord Ayyappa. This is a small temple. There is no roof in this temple. Its believed that Lord Ayyappa like to sit and enjoy both rain and sun heat. Goddess Badhrakali and Nagas are the sub deities here. On every malayalam month 1st , there is special pooja in this temple.

Long ago this temple was in Cheruppalassery village . When the village was destructed , the temple was handed over to 'Nedungathirippadu'. After that 'Samoothiri' won over him and this temple became his property. From this all we can understand its old age.
