The 'Kodiyettu' is on the day 'vishu' and the festive season ends after eight days.

Importance / Main offerings:

'Neyvilakku'(ghee lamps) and 'Kadum Payasam' are the main offerings in this temple.

 

Description:

The presiding deity in this temple is Lord Ayyappa. In this temple Lord Ayyappa resides with Prabha and Sathyaka. Lord Siva also resides inside the 'Sreekovil'. There are no sub deities in the temple. There is a soldier near the south way of temple and that person won over that place years before. Sastha is concentating on him. This is the belief of people.

Lord Ayyappa was the favourite deity of 'Mangattachan'. When all the wealth of 'Mangattachan' went to 'Paliathachan' then this temple too became the property of 'Paliathachan'. This is an ancient temple.
