Description:
The presiding deity in
this temple is Lord Ayyappa. In this temple the
deity faces to the east side. The sub deities
are Lord Vinayaka and Nagas. Also there are 'Murthi',
'Nagaraja' ,'Madan' , 'Marutha' and 'Yakshi'
in the place of villagers near the temple. There
was a rule that 'Kottur' family should have a
right to participate in the temple administration.
There
is a belief about the temple. The idol in this temple
was brought by a group of brahmins. They were on
the way to thiruvananthapuram for participating in
the 'Murajapam'. When they put that idol on the coast
of the pond , the idol had fixed there. They realized
that it has power and made temple at that place. |
