Lord Ayyappa in this temple is worshipped for 'Sani Dosham' and 'Sathru Dosham'.

 

Description:

The presiding deity in this temple is Lord Ayyappa. This temple is a part of 'Raroth' kovilakam. Long ago this temple was known as a fort named 'Raroth' fort. Lord Ayyappa in this temple was the protector of this fort. 'Raroth' kovilakam is owned by 'Ramamangalath Valia Raja'. They are one of the 'thavazhi'(Privileged from mother) of 'Kurumbranattu' kingdom. This temple is an ancient one. The sub deity in this temple is 'Vettekkaran'.
