Description:

The presiding deity in this temple is Shri Dharmasastha. Here the deity resides with wife 'Prabha' and son 'Sathyaka'. The idols are 'Chalana Vigrahas' in the form of 'Salagramas' in 'Krishnasila'. The sreekovil in this temple is surrounded by 'Chuttambalam','Thidappalli' and 'Manikkinar'. Lord Siva and Lord Vinayaka are the sub deities in this temple. Its believed that there is a presence of 'Nagas' in this temple.

The temple is believed to have originated in the 16th century A.D. It belonged to three prominent Nair Tharavads of the region viz., Kalliat Panoli,Namath Nittoor, and Vachackil Veringodan
