The 'kodiyettu' of the festival is on the day 'Uthram' of the month 'Meenam' and celabrain will end after ten days along with 'Arattu'. 'Velakali' and lighting 'Pallivilakku' are something special here.

Description:

The presiding deity of this temple is Lord Ayyappa. There is a belief about the formation of this temple. Once Lord Ayyappa was in the mission of removing the robbers in that area. On the way ,Ayyappa took rest on a rock. At that time one of the 'Yatheendran' saw it and realized that the rock had got a power. He suddenly called a 'Brahmin' boy near the place and made a 'pooja' there. That Brahmin boy went home and told everything to the family members.Thus they made the temple there. This family is known as 'Idayaranmula' Mana.
