Description:
The
presiding deity in this temple is Lord Ayyappa.
Actually Nangulam temple is a co-ordination of
three temples, whish situates just near a farmland. The
middle temple is a Vishnu temple. A 1&1/2f
acre pond is situated infront of
that temple. There is a relationship between this
pond and 'Vishnusarppam'(naga of Vishnu).
Its 'Vishnusarppam'
who marked the boundary of that pond.So the pond
is named as 'Nagakkulam' and now became 'Nangulam.
The sub-deities of the Vishnu temple are Lord Vinayala
and 'Bhadrakali'.
The
Sastha temple situates to the south of that pond.
Here Lord Ayyappa resides in a meditative form and
faces to east.
The
'Devi' temple situates on the east side. Its known
as 'Karippokkavu'. 'Cherukunnil amma' is the sub
deity here.
