'Arattu' of eight days ,in the day 'Uthram' of the malayalam month 'Makaram', which is the main festival in this temple. Also on the first day of 'Makaram ,there will be 'Elaneerattam',which is a special celebration. Also the idol installation anniversary is celebrated every year on the day 'Uthradam' of the month 'Medam'. 'Naga pooja' in the month 'Kanni' is also mportant.

Importance / Main offerings:

'Ada' , 'Elluthiri' , 'Laksharchana' and 'Annadhanam' are the main offerings here.

Description:

The presiding deity in this temple is Lord Ayyappa. In this temple Lord Ayyappa resides with wife and son, facing to east side.Lord Vinayaka and Nagas are the sub deities in this temple. .

The temple was owned by six Nair families ,which are 'Pattathil', Edappilli', 'Kodamkandath' , 'Pottekkadu', Changarampilly', 'Nandanisseri'. They were the main warriors in Cochin army. The temple was handed over to them by 'Sakthan Thamburan' from 'Namboothiri' families.

There will be 'Thanthri pooja' once in a month.
