Description:

It is believed that Lord siva instructed ayyappa to roam earth and find a shelter. Ayyappa met "Pattilachan Karanavar" and he came to Kodumbu place. It is believed that lord ayyappa's presence was in Pattilachan Karanavar's umbrella.

This temple was under the ownership of 'Avanapparambu Mana' earlier. Eventually handed over to
Cochin Devaswam Board.
