Festival:

The main festival of this temple is celebrated along with 'Thrissur Pooram'. Its an eight-day festival. Except Bhagavathi, Kanimangalam Sastha is the only deity who associate with Thrissur Pooram. Kanimangalam Sastha is the protector of all goddesses who take part in Thrissur Pooram.

'Elluthiri' ,'Appam' and 'Kadum Payasam' are the main offerings here.

 

Description:

Its believed that Lord Ayyappa in this temple will get diseases because of snow and sun heat, so all the celebrations will only be done early in the morning and evening. Also every year on the day of 'Sivarathri', Sastha visits Lord Siva in 'Vadakkumnathan' temple and returns after worship.
